Getting started

You'll need:

• A DivX Account
• DivX Player
• A DivX Certified or DivX Ultra Certified device

1. Create a DivX Account

First, you'll need to log in or create a DivX Account via the DivX Player. To create an account, open DivX Player, go to the Tools menu, select User Account and then click the Create Account button. You must use a valid email address or your account won't be created.

2. Register your DivX Certified device

Next, you'll need to retrieve the 8 character DivX VOD registration code from your device. Typically, you'll find it in your device's setup menu. Once you find it, write it down to use later.

Go back to DivX Player on your computer. In the Tools menu, choose Device Manager and then click to Register Device. Select your device brand from the drop-down menu and enter the 8 character code you wrote down before (and name your device if you want to). Once you click Next, you'll be prompted to either burn an activation file or save it to your computer.

If you have a DivX Certified DVD player or other device with a disc drive, burn the activation file to a disc and then play it in your device.

If you have a DivX Certified mobile phone or other device with no disc drive (e.g. it plays movies from a hard drive or memory card), save the activation file to your local computer and transfer it to your device (via memory card slot, USB or Bluetooth) to play.

After you play the activation video, a DivX logo will appear to confirm that your device has been successfully registered. Now you can buy DivX VOD movies to play on your DivX Certified product!

*Note: Free DivX video will play on your DivX Certified device without registration.
